Culturally, I suspect Americans in future generations might be more prone to undisciplined versions of mob psychology witnessed in past 'socialist' failings and fallings. For example, the fall of Mussolini wan't very pretty, nor that of many lessor 'elites' who rode the wave of socialism until it came crashing down. Not limited to socialism, the mob psychology of the French Revolution also exposed some devastating consequences to previously elevated classes.
