I have my doubts that this was a police officer. More than likely this was a traffic cop. Part of the DOT not NYPD. Most of these guys ride sccoters around Manhattan. The only reason these 'demonstrators' attacked him was that traffic cops are unarmed.
Communists apparently dont work. They hang out like cancers and cause violence all day and night. Michael Moore is the star of these idiots.
If I were the authorities in New York I would start rounding up the instigators now, and deporting them
to Boston Mass., and France, where most them have come from.

I saw the video of this incident. I didn't see anyone pushed off a scooter. There was one guy (youngish black man wearing jeans,white t-shirt and baseball cap) violently kicking something on the ground. It looked to me like it was just this one guy was doing the kicking. The rest of the "mob" were looking on and doing nothing for a few moments, and then a uniformed cop came over and basically let the kicker go with only a tongue lashing.
That's what I saw anyway.
