About two weeks ago we had some flooding here in AZ. I was quite sick that day and was waiting for my hubby to pick me up to take me to the drs. (Something I would normally do myself, but I was too ill to drive.) He called me from the gas station (sirens screaming in the background) to tell me that he couldn't get through with the roads closed. I told him that I would check it out on my end and call him back. When I went outside I found that the dirt road behind our property was now a nine inch deep river with washouts twice that and the road in the front of our property was a foot deep. That water was running FAST. I called him back to tell him that I guess I wasn't going to the doctor as I couldn't leave the property. I spent the remainder for the day trying to figure out how my daughter was going to get home from school.

That was with a rainfall of only two inches over an hour. I can't even imagine what 14 inches will do. I hope that everyone here realizes how serious this situation is. I can't believe that it's not on the news.

Blessings for your family.

Frances is going to be one mean machine.

Could be the icing on the cake for this tropical season.

Hopefully Florida won't see a second strike...from a major hurricane this year.

Looks bad
