This irritates me to no end. The root of this story is the culmination of theories that were propagated during the first few weeks after 9/11. It's a bona fide testament to the power and perverseness of persuasion- not to mention the unfathomable gullibility of the unenlightened masses. Can you imagine? I mean REALLY? Can you imagine our heads of government actually sitting still while knowing this tragedy was about to unfold? And doing nothing? There is no way in this world! What an incredibly stupid, tragic and irresponsible issue to poll. Of course the intent was to suggest the possibility. How absolutely over the line and Un-American!

The groups that sponsored this "poll" are highly suspect. 911truth.org and 911citizenswatch.org are comprised of conspiracy theorists who think the government is lying about 9/11. Walden3.org is some screwy utopian group. And walden3.org's owner is selling Chickenhawk t-shirts on his website against President Bush. What answer did you think a poll commissioned by these entities would get?

This was a Zogby push poll with a huge helping of special sauce.
