Log Cabin Republicans attack Republicans
Log Cabin Republicans Website ^

As our nation's eyes are on New York City for the Republican National Convention, Log Cabin's mission, our courageous delegates and our GOP allies are under intense attack from the radical right. The Republican Party Platform is an outrageous insult to all of us and our families. The platform not only calls for an anti-family Constitutional amendment, but it also opposes civil unions and domestic partnerships.  While thousands of courageous gay and lesbian Americans are fighting to win the war on terror, the platform also says, "Homosexuality is incompatible with military service."

Log Cabin has decided to respond immediately to this outrageous platform.  We are launching an aggressive counter attack against the radical right which has hijacked the GOP.

Please take 30 seconds to watch Log Cabin's newly produced television commercial which we launched this morning. And, if you agree with our message please help us immediately.  We must broadcast this commercial in New York City this week so delegates can hear our message.  We won't have this chance again for 4 years. Only you can help us do that.  This morning, I personally contributed $1,000 to this effort.  Please join me right now to help us take on the radical right.

Hmmm. Two guys espousing the light-in-the-loafers-lifestyle and by some strange act of serendipity they both joined yesterday...

Well if Kerry gets elected then the Log Cabin boys get the key part of their agenda anyway. What point is there to segregating themselves as homosexual republicans, rather than just a plain ol' Republicans, if not to advance a homosexual agenda? If keeping Kerry out of the White House and winning the War on Terror are truly their primary concerns, why are they choosing to throw a tantrum during the RNC?

I don't have a problem with gay people calling themselves Republicans, but they sure better vote Republican, then. They can't have it both ways -- claim to be loyal Republicans, and then refuse to vote for President Bush.

What are they going to do, scratch their eyes out, or him them with their purses?

Log Cabin "Republicans" == Gay Democrats

Correction: Log Cabin "Republicans" == Homosexual Stealth Socialists.

They smell a way to get into our pocketbooks. What is the main objective with redefining marriage? Tax benefits. In other words, they want us to pay more taxes so they pay less. And of course the flaming divorces will clog up our courts and require even more civic funding.

My recommendation for these misguided citizens is that they try to take a more libertarian view of their predicament. Americans are already trying to help with the AIDS problem, and it's costing us billions of dollars. We're already working overtime with politically correct language. Why not keep their feelings to themselves and join with Republicans to live out their lives in support of free enterprise, lower taxes for everyone, not just themselves, and support the freedom party?

I'm so tired of hearing that their demands are still for "human rights." They need to start thinking about someone else besides themselves. The planks in the Log Cabin delegation are rotten. They need to be replaced with a more circumspect and independent set of goals. Why are they clamoring for more government? Why should the state need to be drawn into their "lifestyle" choices? I don't want to pay a dime extra in taxes for same-sex unions -- but other than that, I have nothing personal against any of them.

You should have the free will to practice your form of deviancy in the privacy of your own homes, but we do not have to accept or condone the behavior and our children should never have to be exposed to it.

Indeed. Our most precious resource, our children, are a major concern here. Keep GLSEN out of our schools.
