Republican have a far more remarkable record in civil rights than the Democrats. The Republicans should make a note of this fact, during prime time at the convention. As a matter of fact. It was Republicans that crossed the color barrier in politics when President Eisenhower sent US federal troops into the South to, as "IKE" put it at the time, "enforce the Constitution that I swore to uphold".

From slavery to the rise of Jesse Jackson, the Democrats have have kept black people on a plantation of one form or another. It's always the Republicans that pull them out, then blacks just turn around and run right back into the plantation and re-fasten their Democrat chains. Now the Democrats are going to play the Mexicans off of the African Americans. If a Republican protests, he/she will be called a racist.
