There was the time we were carrying special forces up a river and a mine exploded under our boat sending it 2 feet into the air. We were receiving incoming rocket and small arms fire and Tommy was returning fire with his M-60 machine gun when it literally broke apart in his hands. He was left holding the pieces unable to fire back while one of the Green Berets walked along the edge of the boat to get Tommy another M-60. As he was doing so, the boat made a high speed turn to starboard and the Green Beret kept going straight into the river. The entire time while the boat went back to get the Green Beret, Tommy was without a machine gun or a weapon of any kind, but all the time he was hurling the greatest single string of Lowell-Chelmsford curses ever heard at the Viet Cong. He literally had swear words with tracers on them!
Kerry could give three different versions in the same speech and the DNC talking heads and their counteparts in the mainstream media, would still report, "Records and witnesses back up Kerry's claims." Excuse me while I pay a visit to the vomitorium.
Ironically, this is the same crewmember that claimed in a 1996 Boston Globe interview, that he, not Kerry first shot the fleeing VC in one of Kerry's incidents.
PING
This is like the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner.
Do you think the RNC or BushCheney04 will have the guts to run Kerry's '71 testimony?
That would be mean and unfair.
This must also be the incident where his dog flew out of his boat and landed on an adjoining craft. Unless Kerry hit a mine or two during each mission he went on.
That would be a disaster.
Bush needs to stay on message.
It should also be noted that Kerry's Dog Story, about the boat mascot also claimed his boat was blown two feet in the air by a mine.
Blown 2' in the air on two seperate ocassions, but neither actually caused a hole in his aluminum hull boat.
Isn't the hull on Swiftboat aluminum?
There was the time we were carrying special forces up a river and a mine puppy exploded under our boat sending it flying 2 feet into the air. We were receiving incoming rocket pups and small arms fire and Tommy was returning fire with his M-60 machine gun when it literally broke apart in his hands. He was left holding the pieces puppy unable to fire back while one of the Green Berets walked along the edge of the boat to get Tommy another M-60 puppy. As he was doing so, the boat made a high speed turn to starboard and the Green Beret puppy kept going straight into the river. The entire time while the boat went back to get the Green Beret puppy, Tommy was without a machine gun or a weapon puppy of any kind, but all the time he was hurling the greatest single string of Lowell-Chelmsford curses ever heard at the Viet Cong. He literally had swear words with tracers on them!
You take it from here.
Yeah but a little teeny tiny mine that would only be able to toss a 50 foot dielsel powered aluminum boat a mere two feet out of the water would not be expected to do any damage to an its hull, would it?
Heck, I've ridden inner tubes that have gotten knocked two feet out of the water by a backwash wave and my tube didn't break or anything.
Was Kerry commanding the boat?
Who was driving it?
I thought the other boat was hit.
They thought Reagan made up stories?
Okay - so the M60 broke into pieces. What I want to know is did Rassmun's COOKIE break into pieces? Or - like me, did he have it halfway sticking out of his mouth as he was carrying another weapon?
DETAILED SIDE-BY-SIDE COMPARISON OF KERRY'S SILVER STAR CITATIONS (TABLE)
What walk around the boat when you could pass an M60 through the forward hatch.
The good people of Chelmsford would not like to see the term "Lowell-Chelmsford". Chelmsford is a very upscale town, Lowell is kind of downscale.
Hi Guys,
Here's a link to more of this story.
it's worth reading

Thanks for posting.
According to the Nam Vets for Truth, the three boat behind Kerry hit the mine. Kerry took off at high speed, while the others gathered to help the three boat. They were there for 90 minutes. Thurlow leaped to the striken boat deck to help, and at some point evidently fell into the drink.
Kerry's account is (IIRC) that there was intense enemy fire from both banks for 5 km (about 3 miles). He, in the face of this intense cross-fire, came back to pick up Rassman while the other boats fled (the other boats fleeing account is now non-operative, as Kerry's story has changed to concede that he fled, the others stayed).
According to Rassman's story, Kerry's arm was wounded, but he either extended his injured limb to haul Rassman into the boat, or dove in after him to rescue him. I think Rassman said that Kerry had a contusion on his arm caused by falling against the pilot house. I guess he had a piece of rice in his ass, as well.
Rassman evidently spent his time diving to the bottom of the river to escape either 1) enemy fire or 2) the other boat propellers. He wasn't in much position to accurately pinpoint all the enemy fire.
I am having difficulty understanding how the other boats stayed around the three boat for 90 minutes with all the intense enemy fire from both banks. And for 5 km along the route.....Or how they all got home without somebody getting something besides an arm contusion.
Kerry is confusing thirty-five years ago with the present:
Kerry's lies are blowing up in his face, knocking him on his ass with his two feet in the air.
He is so not getting elected.
Me too; with his gargantuan spending increases and assault on the First Amendment, Bush hasn't earned my support.
The Swifties have.
