Hey the smear was 'Hitler' who has been dead for almost 60 years so some updated name-calling is in order in lieu of discussing Pat's America first viewpoints.

Hitler was a hero in WWI, won some sort of top medal for bravery or another. He also claimed he would change German foreign policy and the economy. Hitler was a corporal, Kerry was a lieutenant j.g., basically a commissioned corporal (that was no hit at corporals, they, along with other NCOs are the backbone of the U.S. military).
So "Hitler" would be more apropos to Kerry than Buchanan.
