Wow. That's one powerfully stupid fish

And yet surprisingly hard to catch....main problem is a given lake can only support a handful of them because they're so big and voracious.

I never thought they were hard to catch. I once caught a 44" muskie while I was trolling for walleye. Another time, I was reeling in a 17" walleye, and a muskie grabbed ahold of it. It wouldn't let go until my husband started to put it in the net. We landed the walleye, scraped up as it was.

They're very easy to catch if you're fishing for something else!
