Looks like a whitetail deer to me. That's some big gator......


Amazing and you must be right. The huge alligators are in the wild where they can go deer hunting. We have gator incidents here but the alligators are typically 7 feet at the most and animal caught is small dog. It can happen but very rarely a small child.

The golf course near my aunt's place in Florida has a resident 5' gator who lives in one of the water hazards on the 13th hole. He's considered a natural part of the course, and you get no mulligan if you hit him with the ball - play it as it lies. He's been known to steal balls as well; its a 2-stroke penalty if you lose a ball to him or throw things at him to get him to move.

My aunt found a way around the interference rule though - she keeps frozen chicken parts in a cooler and throws one near him if he's around. (The greenskeeper feeds him too). This keeps him busy long enough for her to play through.
