Families of POWs Frightened By Kerry
NewsMax hears from inside the Swift Boat Vets groups that Kerry’s campaign and its allies in the media have been so intimidating that some critics are now fearful of coming forward.
The plan was to release the first TV ad with Kerry’s own band of brothers from the Swift Boats accusing him of lying about what happened in Vietnam and his own record.
The second wave was to have POWs on camera accusing Kerry of betrayal for his anti-war activities after he left Vietnam.
Those two waves hit like political atom bombs.
The third wave of attack was to have the families of the POWs go on air to reveal how Kerry’s activities hurt them and their imprisoned loved ones.
Apparently, there are also claims that anti-war protesters like Jane Fonda and John Kerry actually contacted the families of POWS, encouraging them to come forward and criticize the U.S. government. Some families were told that by criticizing the U.S. government their loved ones in Hanoi would get better treatment.
But getting POW family members to speak out has become difficult. After seeing how the Swift Boat Vets and the POWs have been treated, many are fearful of going public.
One who went through the ringer for speaking out was former POW Ken Cordier, a former Air Force Colonel. When a friend recently commiserated with the media drubbing, Cordier said, “The communists tortured me for seven years, this is nothing.”

The American Legion has it within its power to change this election completely. The Mainstream Media are going to be forced to cover Kerry's speech in a few days. It is time for these Legionaires to redeem the honor of all Vietnam veterans. If they seize the opportunity, they can work a miracle. Force Kerry to sign SF-180. All will follow from that.
Back logged. The SBV have gotten a lot of press coverage for their book. I'd cancel the Amazon order and find a local book seller.
I hope FOX picks it up and runs with it. ESPECIALLY HANNITY! Oh man, what a bombshell. As for McCain, he should hang his head and weep!
McCain called the ads "dishonest and dishonorable" for absolutely no other reason than that he thought it the right political thing to do. Was he on the boats? Then how does he know. The media and the folks they reach have been learning that the Swifts' message is not just honest but overwhelmingly honorable. Where do you think McCain's credibility and "straight-talkin" reputation goes when just about EVERYTHING the Swifts have claimed is actually TRUE? You're keeping count, I hope. Also--where do you think McCain's own significant band of bros. will be when his (McCain's) 2008 campaign gets started. It doesn't take rocket science here: these guys don't forget betrayals.
Lastly, the Swifts still have a pretty tall heap of dry powder. It would have been easier if McCain had stayed mum; but it's not going to matter in the long run. Wanna bet he changes course here shortly? Cause if he doesn't he might as well look for a nomination from the Democrats.
I think it's pretty clear to a lot of people how a Kerry administration (shudder) would operate.

That would be the Silver Star (3 citations, one from NavSec Lehman which Lehman knows NOTHING about) with a (redundant) V for valor (NEVER issued with a SS). The Bronze is already open to debate (no fire, Kerry left the scene after the mine hit, dropping Rassman off the boat); one of the Hearts is all but finally debunked (the first), and the other's debatable. Take a look at some of the penalties for reproducing false military documents; and that's just the beginning for Hanoi John. He's going to be looking at Aid and Comfort to the Enemy, too. Time to leave for Provence, John.
There was a rumor going around the net that Kerry picked up metals off the field after an anti-war metal throwing protest and claimed them as his own. It was when he was first ordained by democrats. Maybe this is what they were talking about.
The name on the silver star form came from a man who said he never approved the metal for Kerry. Someone forged his signature. There's lots of threads about that. Kerry was in the Senate when the forms were signed!

Brit Hume said the Swifties have a new ad coming out this week during the convention. I have a feeling it will be the POW wives. B1 Bob gave the name of one of the wives that he knows and said she will be telling her story. This will be the straw that broke the camel's back.
I have an idea for the last SBV TV ad. It should first show a montage of clippings/headlines re: the "Brown Books" the Dems have boasted about compiling on any witnesses against Kerry--credit reports, divorce proceedings, etc. etc. etc.
Then ask the audience, "How many of you would volunteer to speak out on anything-no matter how important, no matter how truthful your testimony, if you knew it meant that not just your entire life history but that of your family members, your close friends, your business associates-- would be fine-tooth-combed by professional muckrakers for anything embarrassing?"
"(This many) of the US veterans who contacted us wanting to add their witness to this ad retracted their offer after they read the widely-published threats from the Kerry campaign & saw what was being done to the ~240 veterans who spoke out in our previous ads & in our book "Unfit to Command", because they refuse to subject their families & friends to this kind of ordeal."
Then--I don't know how to explain this--against a background of (that above number) of outlined human shapes, the vets who won't be silenced speak their piece & join the group of figures representing the silenced witnesses.

Heard Bret on FN tonight say that the third SBVfT paid ad video was coming out right in the middle of the GOP convention.
I just hope it is done professionally and emotionally to the quick of the nerve center.
The demoncRAT 8astards need to be jarred off their sanctimoneous high horses right down into the dirt.
This one will not only affect military men, but the womans vote as well. It'll be emotional.
Going after Kerry's after war activities are fair game. Even democrats can't try to argue that. They more than have a right to speak out about them. They were being tortured while Kerry helped!

Word I have heard is Kerry has AL event for that day stacked with a cheering crowd consisting of, his type of vets, Blacks, and union thugs from the DNC to show vets are split on whom they support.
And he used those fraudulent hearts to get out of Nam early.
That means he's AWOL.
