After the fall of the Pahlavi regime in February 1979, Iran's religious leaders imposed strict rules on women's clothing in public. Back then similar to now, the radical 20% forced their ideology on the majority of opposing Iranians. Here is a demonstration of hundreds of thousands, estimates put the last one at close to a million opposed to both the new Islamist government's ideology and forced veil.
Hundreds of Thousands demonstrate against mandatory veil after the 1979 revolution in Iran.

Ping. Hope you enjoy.
I'm not entirely convinced that we need to invade Iran, a lot of things lead me to believe that the Islamofascist regime there will fall in a manner very reminiscent of the Iron Curtain.
I won't need to invade, but we may need to destroy some Russian handiwork over there.
I would be in favor of letting Israel do that. It would accomplish our goal and we could tell the Russians it wasn't our idea.
No one would believe it, especially since they'd need to fly (and refuel) over American-controlled Iraqi territory to get there. Doesn't really matter to me who does it just as long as it gets done.
You're probably right. However, I think Israel is planning to do it anyway. They will wait until after our election, if sKerry wins they will do it between the election and the inauguration.
lol....that's WE won't need to invade :)
Imagine that. We have an object lesson in tyranny right in front of our noses. Too bad so many ignore it. Well I'm not ignoring it.
By the way, each of these women are more brave than a hundred thousand American bra burners! Not that bra burners can't burn their bras. That's protected speech here :)
I look at these pictures and wonder, what would I do, if tomorrow, my country was taken over by an oppressive, religious dictator and his minions? I can only begin to imagine what that would be like.
And 25 yrs later..........they're still running things.
Pack your guns and defend the 2nd amendment.
