I can't deal with your lack of knowledge on this issue.

Believe me -- I have knowledge on this issue. Because of where I live the stories of the drugs found quite north of the border show up all the time. Even my horses have a lot of first hand knowledge of this issue -- they used to be involved in smuggling. The neighborhood gossip is often about who got picked up and deported -- and how quickly they came back -- usually within 2 or 3 days.

go after the employers who bring in the illegals, make them pay back the taxpayers in the form of very big fines for all the health care and education that the illegals have cost us

I just cannot believe good people are so hesitant to address the issue at its most obvious source: WELFARE! WELFARE FITZ!

Most of the employers of illegal immigrants check their paperwork and identities. They're forged. Guys hiring seasonal Apple pickers aren't Columbo, they're not trained by the Bunko Squad. Goober's Pear World isn't an Interpol networked operation. They're hiring willing workers to do a vitally important economic task for an affordable wage. Sorry, but the Debutantes on summer break from the sororities of SMU and Rice aren't showing up for the opportunity, the dissheveled Mexican guys are the only option in many cases.

How about understanding that we have inexorable labor dynamics at work that mandate the movement of workers accross the border - make that seamless and regulated - and ensure that the DEMOCRATS .... DEMOCRATS FITZ ... quit giving our public entitlements to those who don't work, can't work and will never work.

You want grievance? It's the Welfare. The Democrats. Their Socialist Judges. More innocently, it's the Labor Market for guys willing to schlep 100 lb bags of Dog Food off a truck at 3 a.m. at PetSmart. Willingly. For $8.50 an hour. Given the way JackelopeBreeder describes the MadMax world of Cochise County, AZ he's allowing the invading Mexicans to steal from his community ... he and the other helpless punks of that region are gonna need to feed their families with that Dog Food before long.

It's all FR crap. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves ....

Ha! Shame! Man I'm on an pathetically ironic humor roll tonight.

Why would FR at large be interested in a local race and why would I be trying to divert campaign funds from their local races?

LOL! I didn't have a clue who he was talking about.

No one rational is disputing that.

Well then, welcome to reality down here on the border, love. I would stick around to discuss the matter, but I have an appointment in eight minutes to make somebody's life more interesting, as it were...cheap thrills at somebody else's expense.

If I get any good pictures, I'll post them.

If you are taking pictures, at least step across the border so they will be international pictures not just Arizona. LOL

We'll start another FR prayer thread in case you have to physically exert.

Look, there's a tendency by some in this forum to try painting me as some sort of open borders advocate, I'm far from that, however, I am strongly opposed to militarized borders.

The problem with this debate in FR, is the hysteria and the absurd figures thrown about.

You say that Hutchinson said that we only catch one out of every five people closing the border illegally, Marine Inspector posts numbers showing over 900,000 apprehensions at the SW border in Fiscal 2003.

That means that four million Mexicans are entering the U.S yearly. But you also claim that there are anywhere from ten to thirteen million Mexican in the U.S.

Now, unless you're claiming that this Mexicans crossing the SW border illegally started right after Bush was sworn in, y'all are short about 25-30 million Mexican illegal aliens.

What's up with that?

Of course those welfare entitlements also go to every pregnant illegal who makes it over to this side in time to give birth here. And don't forget the $10,000 or so per kid per year entitlement for free education -- that can easily amount to over $50,000 a year for the family of some guy happy to work for $12,000. Then there is the free health care entitlement and the housing subsidy.

It's not just our own welfare class, we're bringing in all Mexico's.

And you're point is what? Is it your opinion or guess that the number escaping apprehension is less than the number being apprehended?

Hey, I'll answer that. The number being apprehended is only a fraction of those that are escaping apprehension. Instead of fixing the problem, it just escalates and gets worse.

If this were a sick person we were talking about, it would soon kill the patient.

That's an easy one.

Last post tonight or I'm in deep dodo.

The BP can only catch one in five due to lack of manpower and logistics. The figures were worse in FY 2000 under Clinton, but Bush did nothing. They dived down following 9/11 because potential mojados were nervous, but now they're on the way back to Clintonian levels again.

Sorry, but I have clientele waiting...

It's not just our own welfare class, we're bringing in all Mexico's.

You want to start a thread about THAT abuse ... I'm there with you and a major ally. We'll make a difference strategically, like only FR can. Let's go after welfare, let's find a legal way to restart Prop 187 and get some money and legal talent behind Arizona's Prop 200. Let's get a plan together, because nobody is happy or secure with the immigration/border status in the chaos it currently is.

That's where we need to start to stem the tide of people sneaking across our soverign borders. At the immigrant DEMAND center, which Liberal Welfare corrupts heinously. The fat-assed Liberal chicks in your county Welfare offices are hosting program "greet and meets" for fresh over the border skilless Illegals, and you guys are blaming Asa Hutchinson.

Now, the issue of the 5, 6, 10 ... God knows how many ... illegals already here can only be addressed through voluntary identification and security from immediate deportation. We need to take an inventory and process these people in a humane way ... or they're just going to be here anyway absent knowing who they are or what they are doing. Bush's proposal was pragmatic and measured and HAD fines and sanctions for the misdemeanor miscreants in our communities.

I want to isolate the bad actors in our midst. They're not Mexicans harvesting sugar beets in Marshall, MN. They're Jihad killers. Security trumps hurt feelings and abused sensibilities at this point. We need an inventory.

The way border security and immigration issues are corruptly framed and stupidly discussed on FR really, really pi$$es me off. It's obscene.

And what is the "grand scheme"? Is it a "scheme"?

I'd be satisfied if they ended welfare for illegals and legal immigrants -- we're seeing a large number of indigent elderly being brought over by relatives to get SSDI and Medicaid, I'd end it for citizens too but that might not be as easy. AND get rid of the illegals committing document fraud to take the jobs that Americans would gladly do. Since they're committing a felony crime, the penalties should be very harsh. And the businesses which use illegal "contract" labor to avoid following wage and labor laws should have to pay dearly. They should shut down the smuggling rings and deport all immigrants who commit crimes.

Then a real guest worker program where farms bring in seasonal workers by transporting them safely from and back to Mexico after a 3 or 4 month work period. Leave the non-working family members back home, make sure enough earnings get to them so they aren't abandoned which is common now.
