If there are any deluded souls out there who still believe George W. Bush is a conservative, I invite them to examine the 2004 Republican Party platform on the issue of amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Bush is for it. That makes him a liberal. Worse, he proclaims that the amnesty is not an amnesty. So he is not only a liberal, but a liar as well.

Watch closely to see if illegals get drivers license while the Guvernator is at the convention. Even more fun will be to watch what happens if Busty actually sneaks this one in.
This isn't Cuba, I don't have to say who I'm voting for.
Also, I've been impressed by precious few politicians in my short lifetime.
To say they're bad is not really going out on a limb.
LOL !!
Now, thats one gang I'd like to belong to!
If this amnesty or legalized status is in the Republican platform, we can only hope that this nonsense gets stopped in the House of Representatives. In the meantime, illegal wannabes will only see this as a green light to enter the country. Bad idea.
By the way, here's an unsolicited campaign ad from us Freepers for our respected Log Cabin Rino:
He didn't like it at all. He's gonna like the next couple even less.
You may remain a Republican, but conservative? Not hardly.
What does Cuba have to do with this?
This is a political discussion forum where we all debate the finer points of different platforms. You seem to have issues with how the two major political parties are handling several issues, so now I'm looking for you to enlighten me, and dazzle me with the brilliance of your chosen candidate's platform.
Or are you just into whining?
The immigration threads have become such a manipulated cesspool of anti-Bush scheming and redneck ignorance ... I don't trust a SINGLE representation any of these Border Wedgies make around here. ESPECIALLY those made by the two resident backstabbing Border Patrol union goons.
The Bush Amnesty proposal was never and "Amnesty" and never a "proposal". It's an ongoing fraud on this forum.
Given what I know about the professionalism of the Bush organization, I have NO BELIEF that our borders are "open" or that the numbers the American Patrol baboons present are truthful. This is the most corruptly demogauged issue on FR, and it's not done in good faith to the forum mission or community.
Pure ugliness.
My, my cry babies on this forum, no less. I am shocked.
So, let's see: On the one hand we have the Democrat Socialist Hoeffel and on the other we have the Republican Socialist Specter. The difference would be????
A Republican leftist is still a leftist. It hardly matters which party label he affixes to himself. I don't vote for leftists. Period.
If this were only true.............sure would be less grouching here.
I don't agree with any of their platforms.
They both suck.
Now, I am under no obligation to tell you who I am voting for. IOW, it's none of your damn business.
Got it?
I am sure Bush is for drivers licenses for Illegals.
So, you're just here to bitch and moan?
The Founding fathers did it with out an election, and they only had the support of about 10% of the population.
Great ad, JB! I hope Kolbe loses the election in a landslide.
Just about everyone here -- and that means hispanics --- says Bush wants amnesty so big business can have cheap labor and cut wages on citizens. Bush won't win this region but will win Texas so I guess the huge tax increases locally won't hurt him -- but everyone knows why the county hospital and schools need so much more money.
I don't think so.
FR is a discussion forum, if you weren't aware.
From the home page: Free Republic is an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America.
Thanks, Missouri. I get the feeling that a certain blowhard on this thread doesn't like some of us...
The Island of Dr. Moreau gang applauds you.
