Communism puts the power to steal property into the hands of government. As socialism takes money from its citizens to conduct the ruling elite's programs (even contrary to popular opinion), it moves from benevolence to abuse. At the point where taxation without representation occurs, we have communism
It bothers me to hear the expression, "Communism is dead." Thanks to Reagan, Communism was derailed for a while, but it is hardly dead. There are too many democrats who are socialists & communists. They will never give up on their agenda to change our capitalist system and usurp our freedoms. They are hear to stay and have almost complete control of main stream media & our education system. This is the war we should be fighting.

I live in California, so I understand what you're saying. We shunned the principled, intelligent, and wholly dedicated Tom McClintock. I hope that Governor Schwarzenegger lives up to his promises, but it's looking unsteady from here. In any case, our 9th circuit court is wobbly and our legislature is always looking for resume bullets (and thinking up new ways to tax or otherwise make our bullets harder to acquire). This is the land of Marx and Hegel. It's like a communist wonderland out here.
