Outstanding.
The revisions do indeed indicate a "bloodless" event.
If the original is ignored, then this is certainly not Silver Star material. Their response will be "How dare you question a war hero!" My response is "What war hero? Oh, the guy who risked the safety of his crew by not following procedures?"
No prob
The first citation runs more than 1 page, which is, I think, against protocol.
While the valor creep (good term) is an issue, a bigger issue is whether the award was providently granted in the first place. Elliott says he would not have passed the recommendation up the chain, if Kerry had told the same story in 1969 as he told in the biography authored by Brinkley.
Nicely done.
bttt
Didn't Lehman just say he had never seen Kerry's Silver Star document and he did not sign it in person as he was supposed to do. Strange stuff here!
Both aspects are windows into his character. Kerry's willingness to lie for self-promotion is important to know. It's important because it reinforces the fact that Kerry ALSO lied about atrocities, again for personal advantage.
I agree with you, the false witness regarding atrocities is a farther-reaching transgression -- it had a material negative effect on literally millions of people. Innocent Asian civilians were slaughtered by communists, and American soldiers were scorned, when they should have been cheered.
Kind of like my brother's Kansas National Guard unit that spent 13 months in Vietnam in '68-'69, or President Bush's Texas Air National Guard.
It appears plainly to me that President Bush spent more time in the military than Kerry. President Bush was actually defending his country's homeland security while Kerry by his own admission was simply performing war crimes in a war against a country that demonstrated "no threat to America." What's the confusion about who is the true hero?
Excellint work! Any chance of adding the dates of the citations?
The attack on Phony Kerry's war record are off shore artillery to work the MSM minefields on the beach and heavy gun placements, also to draw the enemy into false fronts while he burns his resources and we conserve ours.
Rumor has it that the main assault will be in the next week at Senator Kerry's record beach, following the Cambodia ditch around the NYT guns (that can only fire from the left) then linking with the Blog units...
Botox...the slimey critter
Payback..even if all too late..is sweet!
Good links.
a bump for http://www.swiftvets.com/
Ha, ha......I LIKE it!!!!! Tell hubby he should copyright the phrase, it could become the next anti-Kerry book title!!!!!;^)
I love it. He was looking at the chart, just reading it and had his glasses on { he is very cute in a sixtiesh sort of way because he is very smart} and he just sort of mused aloud "this is valor creep". sometimes he amazes me.
Very good,,that is the way it looks like it is going down. Where is Gen Patton to give us our speech? I am so loving this.
good post.
Is Chafee still alive? If so, he needs to be asked about this.
