There are a few fools around.
Personally, I don't have a problem with immigration. It's a good thing--if nothing else, it will alleviate the Social Security shortfall to some extent.
But ILLEGAL: that's another thing. I cannot understand what this President is trying to do...or NOT do.
Halliburton is behind it all! This could be really 'series'!
Understandable desperation on your part, considering that your state graced the national political scene with Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. The rest of the country calls you "fruits and nuts" on the West Coast for a good reason, boyo.
And did you ever intend to answer my question about how you "knew" that "the whole place (Oregon) was crawling with illegal aliens"? Or were you just going to keep throwing whiny titty-baby fits?
And yes, only a fool wouldn't be disturbed and alarmed at millions pouring into our country illegally, unabated.
Tramp tramp tramp tramp ... they're coming in the night on little cat feet. For you.
Some Freepers trust the government enough to allow it to take just such action.
I'm sure President Hillary would never abuse such power, now would she?
If he comes out for closing our porous borders, you ping me.
So, you propose giving the government the power to exile citizens based on their religion? Be careful what you wish for.
Uncontrolled, unexamined, unenforced immigration is not immigration, it's unopposed invasion.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
I hope not Brownie. I believe Bush to be a good, moral man, I do not believe Kerry to be a good, moral man so there is no choice in my mind about who to vote for.
After the election we need to inundate the White House with demands about the border to head off any amnesty bills.
Discrimination on the basis of religion.
Interesting. I always figured you for a big government guy.
You mean as in "Islam, religion of peace"?
I give up. There are no illegal aliens in Oregon, or Texas, Tennessee, California, North Carolina, Washington, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, Colorado etc etc.
It's all just my imagination. Being a native from California, I wouldn't know an illegal alien from an enchilada. They are just to hard to spot.
They are all probably in America with their 6 or 7 kids on vacation, maybe a nice fishing trip. They people we visited in Oregon that have live their for 35 years were probably lying when they told us they've had it with the illegals up there. And the illegal that just raped a 4 year old girl in Oregon is nothing but lies too. All those we saw speaking Spanish, *everywhere* we went were probably just up from Mexico on vacation, maybe a nice family drive or a fishing trip.
You folks in Arkansas know best.
After all, there are no illegals in Arkansas either!
Dianne seems to be keeping a low profile these days. It used to be that she'd be braying to every camera she saw. I don't know what her real thoughts are. I found it interesting, though...
So anywhere you travel (presumably, including Oregon), you see illegal aliens. As far as the eye can see. Waves and waves and unremitting brownish-gold waves of them. As high as the corn reaches an elephant's eye. I get it now.
Why didn't you just say so in the first place? Why the coy specificity in relation to Oregon?
Well, er yeah.....As a matter of fact, I do. LOL!
LOL, I treasure your reply, and the little guy!! Apparently Jim Robinson didn't enjoy it as much as you and I did!!
Ps, I have that little guy saved too!
You've got it!
Our immigration scandal goes waaay beyond your knee-jerk blame of Clinton. It is, in fact one in which the tweedledee and tweedledum parties share about equally in the shame. Here's a very brief review.
The Immigration Act of 1965 represented a major reform of all previous immigration laws. It abolished quotas that discriminated against nationalities, substituting an overall limit of 170,000 immigrants from the Eastern Hemisphere and 120,000 immigrants from the Western Hemisphere.
In 1990, the Immigration Act increased the number of immigrants allowed to enter the United States by nearly 40 percent.
Today, the United States admits approximately 900,000 legal immigrants every year, and annual immigration is swelled by another 300,000 people who illegally cross the borders of the United States. The Immigration and Naturalization Service estimates that about 5 million illegal aliens currently reside in the United States. Both legal and illegal immigrants contribute to dramatic changes in the racial, ethnic, and cultural composition of the country.
I suggest you try sticking your head a little deeper that the Arkansas soil.
Even if this "army of terrorists" could sneak across the border, I don't believe such huge numbers of illegals could communicate and meet to plot this attack without being detected or giving themselves away.
This article reads like a grade B SciFi movie.
It is much more likely that a small number of al Qaeda members would enter the country legally and attack as we saw on 9-11.
