" ...revived that old favourite, the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, releasing a flow chart full of multi-coloured arrows showing that Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is a "close friend" of Merrie Spaeth, a public relations consultant to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth."
If anyone wants proof of how certifiably nuts the dems have become, check out the flow chart:
CRAZY DEM CHART [pdf file - requires Adobe Acrobat Reader]
Sane people would see the straight-line, single-level connections between the their party and their 527 attack machines before they obsessed over the fantasized significance of the many times removed connections of the swifties. This is just like the convoluted psychotic fantasies put out by the Lyndon LaRouche crowd. Didn't the LaRouchees do a similar chart to "prove" the connection between the Queen of England and the Medellin Drug Cartel?

America is NOT Canada. And our home-grown liberals are reeling and scurrying for cover.

"...trust-fund anarchists..."
That label should rank right up there with "limousine liberal" - so simple and spot-on - why didn't I think of that one?

A crucial sliver of Democrats seem to recoil from Kerry the way effete elite Europeans recoil from Bush. Unfortunately the former, unlike the latter, can vote. hee hee

Thomas Lifson, who was at Harvard Business School with George W Bush... notes that young George "was a very avid and skillful poker player" when he was a Business Administration student and that "one of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W Bush's political career"... the President sat back, as John Kerry's consultants, the Iowa caucus voters, the Democratic Party at large, and the media convinced themselves that the one card that trumps Bush's leadership in the war on terror was Kerry's four months in Vietnam, and bet everything on it. They have just lost that hand.
Massachusetts is in need of TWO new senators. And so is the state of New York. For that matter, so is Michigan. ;') George W. Bush will win reelection by a margin of at least ten per cent.

Does anyone seriously think Kerry appeals to white rural males? A poll in The Los Angeles Times shows that 3 per cent of Republicans are voting for Kerry, but 15 per cent of Democrats - mainly "conservative Democrats" - are planning to vote for Bush. A crucial sliver of Democrats seem to recoil from Kerry the way effete elite Europeans recoil from Bush. Unfortunately the former, unlike the latter, can vote.
Kerry's losing 15% of his base? That's not good.
Thankfully, the Europeans can't vote. They think Bush is a cowboy, and that's a bad thing. I don't get it. The Europeans love our Westerns. Cowboys are heroes. Effete New England metrosexuals are not.

"one of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W Bush's political career". And right now we get to see Kerry's best impression of a Phil Hellmuth explosion. Meanwhile President Bush sits at the end of the table like Doyle Brunson, not showing much expression but knowing he's a lot better at this than you are.
