Kerry citation a 'total mystery' to ex-Navy chief
August 28, 2004
BY THOMAS LIPSCOMB
Former Navy Secretary John Lehman has no idea where a Silver Star citation displayed on Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry's campaign Web site came from, he said Friday. The citation appears over Lehman's signature.
"It is a total mystery to me. I never saw it. I never signed it. I never approved it. And the additional language it contains was not written by me," he said.
The additional language varied from the two previous citations, signed first by Adm. Elmo Zumwalt and then Adm. John Hyland, which themselves differ. The new material added in the Lehman citation reads in part: "By his brave actions, bold initiative, and unwavering devotion to duty, Lieutenant (jg) Kerry reflected great credit upon himself...."
Asked how the citation could have been executed over his signature without his knowledge, Lehman said: "I have no idea. I can only imagine they were signed by an autopen." The autopen is a device often used in the routine execution of executive documents in government.
Kerry senior adviser Michael Meehan could not be reached for comment on Kerry's records.

BTTT!
Not that I know of.
935 / 2 sounds very plausible! BUt there must be a number of letters FROM Kerry requesting all of these changes. Those letters, if they are ever recovered, will paint Kerry in his own words as a medal scrounger.
federal crimes don't apply to dems, just ask them.
I think I prefer to keep the info here. Everytime we start a new thread, some pieces of the puzzle get lost.
Does everyone agree...just let this thread run until there are significant new developments?
I still think it's a wasted effort.
Lehman also said that he signed routine paperwork to replace 'lost' medals. That's a whole separate ballgame since he appears confused as to whether he threw medals, or ribbons, or whose they were. Did he really toss his own, then decide later he wanted them for his wall in the Senate Offices? Reasonable question.
I think that there are enough things to discuss with regards to Sen Kerry, his military record, his activism, and his Senate record.
The details about who signed a replacements citation is way too far out in the weeds. It will not resonate with voters, even if it is NOT a routine medal replacement request.
Good point.
MainStream Media.
That's garbage though. You ARE right. That's what they mean. But there's nothing mainstream about them. These guys are fifth-column lefties, who have NO love for this country, and would like to see it destroyed. They, themselves, feel so 'connected' and so wealthy that they believe they'd escape any ill-consequences from their destructive agenda. But, ultimately, being self-destructive, conceited, bi-polar, etc., I don't think they'd care. And it isn't mainstream. It's leftwing, period. I refer to it for what it is - leftwing 'mainstream' - LM.
What does "MediaMole" stand for? Are you MSM?

We can have individual threads, but the posters might want to link them to this thread. It has developed legs and some incredible links.

Not if you're a Dem'Rat. You can also steal classified documents, kill women in your car, and trade satellite technology to the Chinese in return for campaign contributions, if you so choose.
bttt!!
LOL. Classic!
****ANOTHER UPDATE****
Major Garrett had another report on Fox tonight. I came in late, but heard him say Lehman called him today. When I came in the room he was saying, "...he said he put it through, but has no idea how that extra flowery language got added. He wishes he could find out."
I'm glad to hear Lehman is making calls. He wants an answer, too.
Bookmarking for later read. Interesting, indeed!!
This what I found over at The Hill:
Major Garrett reported that former Navy Secretary John Lehman, a member of the Sept. 11 commission, now is questioning the addition of a line in an updated letter Kerry apparently sent in the mid-1980s concerning a medal he received.
Fox said the additional sentence contained flowery language.
Good news re Lehman getting personally involved in Kerry's blatant fill in his own medal commendation.
It sounds like it didn't end in Nam but continued at least to the mid 1980's.
Remember how vicious the mediots of the MSM branch of the rats were with Admiral Borda and one little V on a single ribbon. If there was a single good reporter amongst the mediots of the MSM branch of the rats, they would be all over this story.
