Kerry citation a 'total mystery' to ex-Navy chief

Former Navy Secretary John Lehman has no idea where a Silver Star citation displayed on Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry's campaign Web site came from, he said Friday. The citation appears over Lehman's signature.
"It is a total mystery to me. I never saw it. I never signed it. I never approved it. And the additional language it contains was not written by me," he said.
The additional language varied from the two previous citations, signed first by Adm. Elmo Zumwalt and then Adm. John Hyland, which themselves differ. The new material added in the Lehman citation reads in part: "By his brave actions, bold initiative, and unwavering devotion to duty, Lieutenant (jg) Kerry reflected great credit upon himself...."
Asked how the citation could have been executed over his signature without his knowledge, Lehman said: "I have no idea. I can only imagine they were signed by an autopen." The autopen is a device often used in the routine execution of executive documents in government.
Kerry senior adviser Michael Meehan could not be reached for comment on Kerry's records.

The reason, we are not hearing this story on the MSM is their promise to Kerry before all of this started coming out.
That promise was don't worry about the SwiftVets, their book and tv commercials, we will handle this by ignoring it. (Actual wording was in a FR post weeks ago, by MSM key people to Kerry's key people.)
Kerry is saying stay away from:
1. My FBI files
2. My Navy records
3. My Senate record
4. Whatever I have said in the past to curry votes and $'s.
5. Just stay away from my past.

As for the signatures, I've assumed from the beginning that the 2 Lehman cites were issued at the same time and by autopen. You seem to have established that the autopen suspicion is correct. Thanks.
We've been slowly nudging this ball down the field for 5 months. I don't see how we can go much further without a release of the files. If only Lehman would go public and (loudly) request that Kerry release them. If there's a paper trail, it will reveal whatever reason Kerry gave to justify the new-and-improved citations in the 80's...and we'll have a field day with it. If the paper trail isn't there, then someone inside the Dept. of Navy conspired with Kerry to use the autopen and issue new citations.
Until we know that, it seems to me we're at a dead-end.

Friday night I told some friends that this is like pressure cooker that has been simmering for 3 decades re Kerry's serial lying and acts of treason.
The pressure cooker is too hot now for Kerry and the DNC to cool off, and we now have control of the heat of the stove. Each article like this turns the heat up a little more on that pressure cooker filled with the truth about the serial liar for 3 decades.
Personally, I think that the Swift Vets have even more damaging material to release. This article shows that more people are getting involved.
There is no way for the MSM arm of the DNC to control this anymore.

The so called reporters who get a paycheck from the MSM are paid to never investigate the real stories like this one.
If they dared to investigate, their editors/publishers would spike their stories and fire them.

Last but not least we do have a daily battle with the various liars and parts of the MSM. We must expose their lies/spins and phoney mantras each day to erode the MSM's credibility with the middle. Free Republic offers us the best weapon/vehicle to do that each day.

This is what I have told some older vets, the old democrats.
Their love for Kerry is allowing him to continue to urinate on the legitimate medals earned by their generation and the ones before them. When they start to argue, I conclude, "You, know that I'm right. Kerry is urinating on everything your generation sacrificed for us!"
Good tactic! There is no changing their minds so just drive them nuts. LOL
