PROTESTS TAKE A NASTY SWING IN BX.
By PERRY CHIARAMONTE and JOE McGURK
August 28, 2004 -- Vandals hacked up fairways and spray-painted political slogans on a city golf course in The Bronx early yesterday, as protesters geared up for an anti-GOP protest march tomorrow past the Republican convention site. The graffiti which included the slogans "Stop the War!" and "Politics Isn't Business" was discovered at Van Cortlandt Golf Course and on nearby lawns and tunnels, parks officials said.
"There was extensive damage to holes 15 through 18," said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe.

The RNC should read these things from the podium.

In a way, I wish I was on the course when it happened. I can smack a drive around 250 yards, but cracking these fools a good one would be so much better.

You may be right but I can't believe that the DNC would think this a good idea. I think most people will associate these folks with the true base of the DNC.

The NYPD has designated a pier in the Hudson River as a temporary holding area for dirty stinking hippie protesters, if necessary. Please tell me that this pier is at the BOTTOM of the Hudson River.

We need to file all the pictures of Dim idiocy during the convention and create a slide show commercial of their insanity. "These people support John SKerry for president."

The Republican national commitee the Grand old party is just one such organization of rich people who play golf and rape the earth. These people who start and fight wars to get richer. You cannot suppress the masses forever. DUMBASSES.
1. I'm not rich.
2. I don't play golf. Maybe I will someday, I don't know.
3. I don't rape the earth and as a hunter I do more for the environment than you do in your concrete jungles, so know your damn role and shut your mouth.

"...cops in NY..., God Bless 'em..."
We visited NYC in Aug of 2001, and they had a huge parade one of the days we were there. The NYC police were fantastic. They have controlling crowds down to a science. They were very professional, but you knew they weren't going to put up with any b.s. NYPD was everywhere you looked. I felt completely safe in NYC, even after dark. I can't wait to go back again.

OK, here's an idea for our convention: send some of our people out with cameras, to the streets (with the police by their side, LOL!). Keep a screen in the background, with a live feed of these anarchists in action, with a title at the top: "Democrats in Action: Live Feed"
and let them show the world what they are REALLY made of.
