McCain was justified to be upset, and if the clip Wolf Blitzer was allowed to continue, you would have seen George W. Bush say to McCain that the fringe group of veterans did not speak for him and that he didn't appreciate what they said about his father either. Then GWB pulled out an advertisement that was being placed on windshields in South Carolina that was the same type of personal attacks John McCain was calling for an end to. John McCain tried to say he was not responsible for the Ad and George W. Bush said "That's funny, The flyer says "PAID FOR BY JOHN McCAIN"

I remember that exchange like it was yesterday, GWB blew McCain out of the water by exposing his duplicity
