I am on my way to bed, but was able to read the
first few paragraphs. All I can say right now is...

WOW!

Just tonight, hubby was going through his log books in preparation
for an upcoming reunion with his squadron buddies. It turns out that
he was closer than Kerry was to Cambodia.
But, hubby wasn't IN Cambodia...he was OVER Cambodia.

And, he left them some reminders of him. ;o)

Thanks for the ping.
BUMP for reading tomorrow.

Thanks for the ping.

The Kerry camp has one hope...that this fuss will die during the convention. They've made one serious miscalculation, though.

The sight of thousands of protesters in NYC may not remind people that GWB is hated...they may remind people of 68 Chicago. Short of a few bombs, they look alike, act alike, sound alike that 68 crowd. Those are not great memories for many people, and will keep the SBV story alive.

The Swifties learned a lot while in the military. They're taking the attack to Kerry and playing on his field.

Notice how the press is describing this? A Swiftboat ATTACK on Kerry. Kerry plays DEFENSE against Swiftboat Vets. Even the mostly-brain-dead media can see this is Kerry's war being re-fought - this time we have a lot of good people on our side...willing to take the heat from Kerry and his anti-war media friends.

That Kerry took the trouble to film his war experience strikes many veterans, including some of his closest friends, as extraordinary - even strange. Kerry says he shot his war footage on a Super 8 camera he bought at the PX in Cam Ranh Bay. Asked how he filmed in the heat of battle, he demonstrated, gripping an imaginary ship's helm and thrusting his camera hand out to the side. "I'd steer, or direct, or fire my gun, and hold onto it when I could," Kerry says.

He was under enemy fire, battle-scarrred, wounded (but not bleeding), steering a swift boat into enemy territory, returning firepower to the Vietcong, but Kerry still found the time to film his activities.

Kerry's rank opportunism rears it's ugly head. His political ambitions took precedence. He clearly intended to use the film as political propaganda, to boost himself into higher office.

In fact, the story goes he established so many separate residencies to position himself advantageously for his first Congressional race, the joke was he needed a real estate agent, not a campaign manager.

Kerry's self-absorption is nothing short of amazing.

Thanks for the ping to this article that turns one's gut while reading the spins and lies of the Globus Hystericus.
