Listening to Fox News on my XM radio on the way home, I heard Carl Cameron roll out some poll numbers saying that most people believe Bush is behind the Swift Boat ads. The Kerry Campaign seems to think a backlash is looming? Can anyone bring my up to speed on this story?
"The backlash against these ads will help us. We demand you take them off the air."
There you go.
Hope springs eternal.
Fox has Wallace replacing Hume today. I turned it off as soon as I saw him. Is Fox trying to become an echo rather than a choice?
Most people will believe anything that is drummed into them 24 hours a day by the mainstream media. But the very same polls that suggest what the Kerry campaign is saying, also say that Kerry lost all the false crediblity he built for himself with his Vietnam lies.
Well, if all you have left is hoping for a backlash, then that's what you gotta go with.
HEADLINE: Bush Overtakes Kerry in Latest L.A. Times Poll

For the first time this year in a Times survey, Bush led Kerry in the presidential race, drawing 49 percent among registered voters, compared to 46 percent for the Democrat. In a Times Poll just before the Democratic convention last month, Kerry
held a 2 percentage point advantage over Bush.
Brit is always off on Fridays. Watch the Grapevine segment, that will be telling.
I don't see how when they are telling the truth.
They are trying to CREATE a backlash, more lies and deceptions, changing the subject.... "IF" JFKerry wants to set the record straight then he will sign the release form.
All these polling statistics showed was that so far, the press has succeeded in hiding the web of connections between the Kerry Campaign, the DNC and the 527s helping Kerry. Once these slimy weasels are exposed as the hypocrites they are, the public will be even more harsh against Kerry.
It's easy to believe the president is behind the Swifties because that's what the leftists are saying and the media isn't telling us that the DNC is behind the MoveOn.org ads.
The DNC's attorney, Sadler, works for MoveOn.org and the connections between the DNC and 527's is unmistakable.

The only looming backlash is aimed at Kerry.
Kerry's position is deeply rooted in his arrogance. You just knew, as he continuously praised himself for his war record, that he was innoculating himself against criticism of his anti-war record and Senate record which is notoriously weak (dare I say damn near criminally negligent?) on defense and intelligence. He was setting it up that to even question his record in these two areas, let alone his war record, would be politically incorrect in the extreme. You can see this in his current attitude.
Bush is vulnerable to accusations of political incorrectness--perhaps his greatest weakness as our leader. Kerry's problem is that, as a far left liberal icon, he believes in political correctness as a religion, and this is reinforced by his personal arrogance (cutting into lines, condescending "Don't you know who I am?"s, constant put-downs of the little guys). He bigger problem is that the SBVT don't give a damn about political correctness.
It was not Hume being off that caused me to turn of my television. It was the selection of Chris "Smear the Swift Boat Vets" Wallace as a replacement choice. I wouuld rather have Juan Williams who at least does not pretend objectivity.
