Depends. To a Democrat, you didn't actually serve WITH Kerry unless you were on his boat, even if you were on a naighboring boat under the same commanders.
Did French ever actually say he served with Kerry, or did he say that he was a swift boat vetand then the Dems pulled the old "Well, we don't care if you were there on the same day and same time, if you weren't actually sitting next to Kerry on his boat."
I ask because the press has a way of distorting what people say when it comes to covering up for their selected candidate. And I ask because my brother commanded a unit of two of the modern day's MK-V's yet he could only be in one at a time- would a Democrat say he didn't serve with crewman so-and-so if that crewman were on the second boat and my brother on the first? With them it all depends on what their definition of 'is' is.
