The eulogy says "the boat made a high speed turn" like it had a mind of it's own. Based on the swift vets sworn statements, sounds like Kerry heard the mine explode under the 3 boat and he made a high speed turn to run away, tossing Rassman into the water. He came back when he realized nothing was really happening and that all the other boats stayed to rescue the 3 boat crew.

Earlier today,someone posted a list of Purple Hearts from the Department of the Army,and you'll never guess who is on that list! None other than First Lieutenant James A. Rassmann. Date of action....you'll never guess...13 March 1969 Whow,what a surprise!!!lol, what was his injury? A blister from hitting the water too hard?
