Woman Sues William Kennedy Smith in Civil Lawsuit, Accusing Him of Sexual Assault in 1999
CHICAGO Aug. 26, 2004 — A woman who sued William Kennedy Smith said Thursday that the member of the prominent political family sexually assaulted her five years ago "in a manner that will haunt me to the day I die."
The Kennedy cousin denies attacking Audra Soulias and claims she filed her civil lawsuit only after he refused to pay $3 million, but she said the power and money held by Smith's family was what kept her silent for so long.
"Today I am putting William Kennedy Smith on notice. You will not victimize another woman and be able to keep it silent if I can help it," Soulias said at a news conference. She did not take questions.
Smith, 43, who was cleared of rape charges in 1991, said in a statement from the center for land-mine victims that he heads that his "family and personal history have made me unusually vulnerable to these kinds of charges."

Whether or not he did this, how in the world will she prove it? I read the entire article, and it happened five years ago, she stayed on and worked for him and had consensual sex with him later. I can't imagine how she could prove this. Maybe with the lawsuit she's hoping for a monetary settlement.
The Kennedys sure display a genetic defect in the family line. So Kennedy Smith is headed back to court for another round of his sexual proclivities. Sounds like Wacky Jacky's history.

She'd better have a really strong case, even if he is a Kennedy.
The famous blue dot accuser. She drags this guy's name through the mud for a year and never even had to divulge her identity. I don't question that Smith is a slimeball, but the woman was traipsing around on the Kennedy compound at 2:00 in the morning, alone with this guy. This is not quite the same as an unwitting person who gets jumped by a stranger on a dark street. I guess her life hasn't gone too well, so she's trying to revive this case. She hangs around with this guy of her own accord, gets burned, and now she wants to go back and get slimed again? She's a glutton for pusishment.

I'm sure Teddy will be able to pull some strings so that this Kennedy will be able to bunk with the other Kennedy already in jail (Jaskell?).

This stinks of goldiggers and an easy sleasy target. I am no fan of the Kennedys but if she says in the first paragraph of her statement "it's not about the money" it's about the money. The Kennedys are trash and this just confirms they attract trash.

Who gives you the right to call victims 'trash' I guess it takes one to know one. I'm not surprised why this girl took so long to come out and speak up, rapist supporters like yourself are fast to call her a nut, a slut & a golddigger....(sounds familiar?)
