Members of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have challenged several aspects of John F. Kerry's military record in addition to his account of the March 13, 1969, mission on which he was awarded the Bronze Star; Kerry's campaign has vigorously defended his record.
John Hurley, national director of Veterans for Kerry, was online Thursday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. ET to discuss the recent allegations surrounding Kerry's Vietnam service.

It's just a darn shame John Kerry isn't alive to answer these charges for himself.
I wonder if Kerry has lost his voice.
Boring, guys.
If you read both discussions, I don't think there's much doubt of who's telling the truth and who's filled with bluster. Here's John O'Neill's side of the story.
D
Virtually no questions of substance trying to elict the facts other than one question about the "Sampan Incident". The questions were all designed to give Hurely a platform from which to hurl accusations of lying. Compare this to the hostile questions and direct factual answers when John O'Neill answered questions on line. Two completely different atmosphers.
FYI.
Not alive? Has anyone reported any black, 1967 Oldsmobiles driving off bridges into shallow water?
Has he taken any question from any reporter in the past two weeks?
Maybe John Edwards can use his ability to channel dead people to find Kerry.
Assuming Edwards is still alive.
BTW, has Teresa said one word since the whole Swift Vets thing erupted?
"And I would have gotten away with it too, if not for those meddling SwiftVets... AND THAT DOG!!!"
"to discuss"
To LIE LIKE HELL!! And .. by the democrats' OWN STANDARD .. since Hurley was NOT ON THE BOAT WITH KERRY .. he is UNQUALIFIED to even comment!!
I'm waiting for the anarchists to, by this time next week, convince the last sane people in the Democratic Kamp that a vote for Kerry would be pure folly.
It then follows, that in their anger, they throw all their current rascally scallywag leaders to the wolves and retreat and shrink for quite some time like some other political parties in our nation's history have done.
I have to catch myself from getting too happy. I don't want to ruin the last act. Kerry quits.
Is "Veterans for Kerry" a 527 organization? Is Hurley even allowed to "coordinate" with Kerry's campaign?
Of course, their libs. The rules don't apply to them.
LOL
Yuk Yuk. Those libs are a hoot, aren't they?!
Hurley's questions were generally softballs, coming from people who wished the SBVFT would go away, and asking for Hurley's assurances. Hurley was, in turn, evasive and demagogic. His only justification was that SBVFT were "liars".
Hurley's presentation was roundly unconvincing and would've satisfied only the most devout Kool-aid drinker.
O'Neill's much longer session had him confronted by challenging questions from a decidedly unfavorable audience. But he responded to each directly -- in full possession of the context and details.
He was uniformly persuasive, convincing...and believable.
Any fair-minded reader (or Post reporter) would judge that O'Neill's side of the story seemed vastly more credible. And, in no event, should the SBVFT be dismissed as a bunch of cranks -- they were serious. And powerfully motivated...
Kerry is going down. And he's going to take the "sixties left" and the establishment media down with him.
Because, after the truth is known about Viet Nam, what does the left have left?
To borrow a phrase from J Effin' K himself, Vive la Swifties!
Mr. Hurley ain't being paid enough to try and cover Mr. Kerry's lies... They haven't printed enough money in all of histoty to cover Kerry's lies.... Mr. Hurley reminds me of Baghdad Bob...
