No, he specifically mentioned he comments were based on the new Fox poll.
The FOX poll usually lags behind other polls, since they don't push undecideds. I think Tony Snow was trying to push the importance of the GOP convention by downplaying Bush's current performance in FOX's poll. Bush seems on the verge of a breakout. State polls are moving his way. The electronic markets are moving his way. Even the lagging FOX poll showed a big improvement in his approval rating.
Good news about MO. Geez, after listening to Tony Snow I wanted to start running the bath water, lowering the lights and turning on the opera music. LOL!

No kidding. I like Tony Snow, but he sure can be a downer sometimes. Talk about a "glass half empty" kind of guy.
