But reading your posts I do understand that in your limited world "off the cuff" is equivalent to "asinine".

Several months ago, an Irish politician made an anti-American comment and I suggested a large tariff on Bushmills whiskey.

It got a good laugh out of several Freepers who said that would be too much for them to handle.

Maybe I should have said Labatts or Moosehead instead of timber.
