And last but not least, should I raise my children not to emulate Britney, but follow your witness of Christian-like behavior when they speak about others?

If you get up on stage dressed like a slut and simulate sex acts, then what should I call Ms. Spears? A wholesome teenage idol?

The purpose for bringing Britney Spears to the convention would be to appeal to those who idolize Britney Spears. Britney has demonstrated a flagrant disregard for purity and has done much to bring down the moral climate of our culture. In that sense she is no better or worse than many of her peers. Calling her a "slutbag" is perhaps a bit over the top. But then calling her a "role model" for our youth is ludicrous. She is not a "role model". She is the very symbol of our national moral decay.

IF the republicans feel they need to cater to that decay in order to win, then I believe they have lost. We are a party of ideas not people. We are a party of principle not popularity. We ought to appeal to people's intellect and their sense of honor, duty and country and not to their purient interests and their sense of sight.

But then I've been wrong before. How about you?

I guess my point is that we should always strive to be Christ-like, and to do so, we must obviously emulate his behavior.

So in a case such as this I believe that people should ask themselves, should we allow our witness to be obscured by our verbiage?

Does Christ use the word "slutbag" when thinking of Britney?
