I want to find info on democrat lawyers who hold the same position as Ginsberg who are not stepping down.
Bob Bauer
Joseph Sandler, General Counsel to the Democratic National Committee, and counsel to MoveOn.org.
Joe Sandler, a lawyer for the DNC and a group running anti-Bush ads, MoveOn.org, said there is nothing wrong with serving in both roles at once.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman issued the following statement:
"Ben's resignation is an example of a decent public servant who understood the entrenched double standard in the medias examination of the relationship between campaigns and outside interest groups, exemplified by their tolerance of blatant lies by two Kerry spokespeople regarding their campaign's relationship with Bob Bauer. The Kerry campaigns hypocrisy today embodies the worst of American politics. Ben's Democratic counterparts and outside observers of campaign finance law have all made clear that there's no legal conflict in what Bauer, Joe Sandler and Ben Ginsberg do for their various clients. The differences between President Bush's campaign of ideas - and commitment to keeping the campaign debate focused on ideas - and the Kerry campaign's unflinching commitment to the politics of personal destruction are disappointing but not surprising."
The Kerry Campaign's Effort To Mislead On Its Relationship To Bob Bauer
Kerry Spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter: Bob Bauer Is Not Our Attorney And He Is Not A Chief Counsel For Any 527s. Before I get to the heart of the issue, I just want to correct two facts. Terry needs to get his facts right. Bob Bauer is not our attorney and he is not a chief counsel for any 527s. But this is not about 527s. This is about character assassination thats coming right from the White House. The White House has been saying for three weeks that we are not involved in these personal attacks on John Kerry. We don't know anything about them. Theyve been trying to blur the topic to talk about 527's, campaign finance law. Thats not what this is about. This is about the President of the United States personally engaging in attack and smear politics on one of America's war heroes. Hes not just insulting John Kerry and his honorable service in Vietnam. Hes talking about everybody that served this country, their valid military service. (Fox News Fox News Live, 8/25/04)
Kerry Senior Adviser Michael Meehan: Neither Of Those Men Work On Our Campaign. BLITZER: You're not answering, Michael, the question. Is there a connection between Bob Bauer and Joe Sandler, both attorneys in Washington involved in the Democratic Party and in attack ads by these independent 527 organizations whether it's MoveOn.org or any of the other groups going after the President? MEEHAN: Neither of those men work on our campaign. Neither of those men were involved in a smear campaign on John Kerry and his naval record the way that Ben Ginsburg who works for the Bush campaign and is Bush's top lawyer and now we know is the top lawyer for the Swift Boat guys. Theres a reason why he resigned. He was wrong and he should resign. He shouldn't be involved in this and George Bush should step up and disavow these ads and put this matter to rest and let us get back to the issues of the day that are at hand, not some 35-year-old war looking in the rearview mirror. Let's talk about what we are going to do to put America back on track. (CNNs News From CNN, 8/25/04)

It's not just lawyers, either. Apparently the Kerry campaign excuses this by saying they never claimed that there weren't any connections. How Clintonian.
Isn't Harold Ickes one of those left-wing hypocrites, too?
According to the Democrats if you know of someone in the same position as Ginsberg, then he's not in the same position as Ginsberg, because they claim there is a difference. Ginsberg's association with the Swift Boat Vets and the Buch campaign was hidden, while those we know of who are assocationed with leftist 527's and the Kerry campaign are not hidden.
Of couse we could ask if Ginsberg's associations are hidden, how come everyone knows about them? We might also ask, how do we know there aren't others associates that have connections with Kerry and his supporting 527s?
I demand that the Kerry campaign prove that no illegal associations exist between his campaign and MoveOn.org or other leftist 527s!
Now bring it on!
Try Harold Ickes. He was bragging about it six months ago.
"Isn't Harold Ickes one of those left-wing hypocrites, too?"
You ARE asking this in all innocence, aren't you? This isn't one of those "hypothetical questions" is it?
Heheheh. "In the open" is a direct contradiction to the DNC's Stephanie Cuttler (sp?) assertion on the record (lie), yesterday, that Bauer and Sandler were not being paid by the DNC.
From what I have read of this story, Ginsberg exercised full client-attorney confidentiality. Because he is among a relative handful of lawyers who understand the law regarding FEC, CFR and 527s, he was a natural choice for the Swiftees to use.
The difference is that Kerry knows this and is politicizing this issue while he has active members of his campaign team who are associated both with his campaign and the 527s, a clear violation of the law.
In the long run, Kerry will live regret making this an issue because, like Viet Nam, it will come back to bite him in his rapidly shrinking butt!!
kerry called for the FBI to investigate the pubbies. great put 10 agents looking at the rats and 1 looking at the pubbies. or what ever the ratio of spending is.
Mark Levin was briefly on WABC radio this AM. He's considering action against Bauer & Sandler. Maybe there'll br more on his show at 6 PM ET.

Just a quick info dump. As for him being a left-wing hypo...I think you'll be able make your own guess. ;)
