Heh, hoist on his own petard, AGAIN, since those official records can't really be BELIEVED, and he admits writing the spot reports himself!
While there doesn't seem to be firm evidence (yet) the tactic of "piggy back" or "me-too" medals may be a factor.
If everyone in the squad is given a lesser medal but one that is "dependent" on the "hero" it tends to gain support and may affect recollections?
