Later, Edwards was heading east to Warren, a Rust Belt bastion of union faithful hit hard by unemployment.

"The Warren Community Amphitheatre was jammed Wednesday as U.S. Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., the party's vice presidential candidate, led a Democratic rally. There were an estimated 4,000 people at the rally."

I had to work, or I would have been with the few brave Bush supporters. I wonder how many of those 4,000 were union, General Motors workers paid to attend.
