Be sure to watch Nightline tonight when it runs on the West Coast later this evening. Ben Ginsberg, who resigned as outside counsel for Bush-Cheney 04 today, got into a contentious argument with Nightline's Chris Bury over the media's double standard covering of 527s.
Ginsberg said he'll continue to give legal advice to the SBVT.
Oh yes, Nightline finally gets around to reporting on the high level connections between 'Rat 527s and the Kerry campaign and the DNC.
bttt
Ginsburg was President Bush's lawyer during the Florida re-count, and he kicks a-- and takes names.
Bury is not too bad usually. I guess Ginsberg can do what he wants now anyway ! He was credible on Blitzer this afternoon too.
ABC already has a pretty even-handed (for them) piece posted on 527s:

I watched O'Reilly interview him tonight and it was pathetic. He kept getting at how he "felt" about helping Bush while the Swifties were getting ready to spring the July Surprise. Like we give a shi& about how he feels? He is very precise and serious guy, I would not want to have him taking me to court. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his attempt to point out the double standard. I hope he doesn't drop off the scope due to this snafu.
Ah! I couldn't place him and it was driving me nuts.
I was pretty sure he wasn't Monica's lawyer.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'm in L.A. for two weeks on business - can't wait to get back to the right coast. *g
Ben Ginsberg ROCKS!!! Just finished Nightline and he was incredible, really put the media on the spot. He asked Bury where he has been since March on the Kerry's 527.
Enjoy. It looks like Ginsberg did.
The 'Rats made a mistake putting the hit on Ginsberg. A big mistake.
Thanks for the heads up. I will be watching this one for sure, Ginsberg is great.
Very impressive in the first segment. I'd score that a 10-8 round for Ginsberg.
Ginsburg was great! He really shut Bury down. Especially when he was discussing the new Swift Boat ad. He passionately related how some of those men had spent six years in the Hanoi Hilton, and these were their heartfelt statements of how the words of John Kerry hurt them deeply! And he positively bristled at the suggestion that they should somehow be forbidden from telling America about their experience and pain. Bury literally ate five seconds of air time thinking about it and decided to move on to the next subject rather than touch that!
Good to know.
I will make an exception tonight:
I haven't watched a Nightline in a long while.
Nightline.
I haven't watched that mindnumbing, video version of a bird-
cage liner since the satellite dish landed on my roof.
Thanks for the headzup!
Thanks for the head's up!
He sure is!
Thanks for the link.
I am staying up JUST to watch him on Nightline.
