McKelvey the Mayor of Youngstown is voting Bush.
He said Terry Mac"awful" is a better magician than Houdini, that Houdini could make an elephant disappear and terry made a 19 year senate record disappear.
He said his party the Dems are ignoring 9-11 seems there may be a few dems I agree with.
watching Colmes in that segment was PRICELESS.
McKelvey agrees with former NY city mayor Ed Koch who says
"the war on terrorism TRUMPS ALL OTHER ISSUES and Pres Bush
is better able to lead in the war." There is NO better way
to say it, theres the election in a nutshell.
I think the democrat talking heads are going to be shocked come November and they learn that PLENTY of rank and file democrats agree with McKelvey.
I was tickled by Colmes' admission that Cheney is the benchmark for being strong on national security. McKelvey said something about Kerry not being strong on national security, and Colmes said, "Yes, he is. He voted with Dick Cheney on lots of things."
Please tell me that the RNC does whatever is necessary to open a prime-time slot for McKelvey to be a speaker at the convention.
He came across as someone who has first hand knowledge on what the Rats have failed to deliver in all the years of support from NE Ohio. Could help swing the Buckeye undecideds over to W.
Someone call Ed Gillespie and make this happen.
And then they need to send him up to Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Downriver Detroit burbs, and Warren. It's much like the Trumbull/Mahoning county areas
At least we in Ohio seem to have a little common sense, too bad I agree with a Dem Mayor from Youngstown than with our Rep Governor Taft.
Taft ain't even qualified to be a RINO...
Let's hope that voters in Youngstown - especially those who normally vote Democratic - are behind this man and don't CARE if he is coming out and saying this. Even if he IS a Democrat.
