yes, I could write a properly worded FOI request......but my experience is that one must know exactly where the records are archived, and describe the doc's requested in very specific terminology......otherwise it is months of getting frisbee'd and browbeaten.

I believe the Swiftees have already done this, over the signature of an attorney.

My father was killed in Korea and when I wanted to find out more about his service, I was directed where to send for the records. After much back and forth with D.C. I got a letter saying that there was a fire in St. Louis in 1972. Many records were destroyed.

How much do you want to bet that Kerry's records were among them.

I finally got in touch with someone over the internet that sent me the accident report....maybe this guy has access that could help get his records. I'll have to look his name up.
