I don't see how that "silences" POWs--in the abscence of such words, the NV would allow them free speech? He didn't do anything in 1971 to prevent other veterans from speaking. The point is, the cartoon was dishonest and didn't even make an attempt at humor. It was a lame cartoon all around. There's no defending it on factual bases, on from an emotional standpoint.
