> Reasonable, intelligent people are NOT swayed by extremists

What planet have you been living on? That's just wholly and astonishingly wrong.

Are you saying that you think that you are intelligent, reasonable and are swayed by terrorists?

You betcha. Prior to 9-11, I didn't give a rats ass about Islam one way or the other. Prior to 9-11, I thought the Russians should just leave Chechnya alone. Prior to 9-11, I thought that we were on the right side when we bombed Serbia. Terrorists swayed my opinions.

I didn't give a rats ass about Islam one way or the other.

Therefore, you HAD no opinion to be swayed.

The extremists merely made you look at the data and FORM an opinion; they did not CHANGE your opinion.

Look at the rest of the post.

But even so, terrorists and Creationists can cause a person to rethink their stances *away* from that of the nuts.

Why is it always AWAY?

After all; even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Maybe if you would slow down on the labels of "C" types, perhaps they might listen to your presentation of the data.

If I were to continually call you stupid or nuts or ignorant; I doubt that I'd have your complete attention.

And that's why I and other reasonable people do not pay attention to Creationists in daily life (agrueing on FR not being "life" as such...). And consequently, if these now-ignored/shunned Creationists ahve anything else to say on other topics, they tend to not get heard.

Ahem... guns, abortion, you name it... one issue groups abound. Those who are not so ideological, however, can be driven away by the ravings of lunatics... Creationists, for example.

On July 27 in Boston, Alec Baldwin slammed the influence of religious conservatives in the GOP.

Alec? Is that YOU???

Even a dullard like Baldwin can see things you cannot.
