Kerry also struck back at people who criticize him for trying to glorify only four months of service in Vietnam. "I was there longer than that, number one," he said. "Number two, I served two tours. Number three, they thought enough of my service to make me aide to an admiral."
More parsing of the truth (and lies) - period.
- Yeah John, you spent 'more' than 4 months 'in country' - 4 months and ONE WEEK.
- Two Tours? Uh-huh, 'technically' correct. BUT your 1st tour aboard the USS Griddley was ONLY for 5 months, not exactly a full tour. So in total your 'two tours' consisted of a tad more than NINE months, which was still 3 months shorter than the Army's 12 month tour and 4 months short of the Marines 13 month tour!
- And sorry Johnny Nam, but you know you got the Admiral's Aide gig solely because of WHO your dad was and where he worked - the US State Dept.
- And speaking of the Admiral's Aide gig, you neglected to mention that you almost IMMEDIATELY requested that the Admiral grant you an early release from the Navy, which you were granted, so you could "run for congress" - which you never did!
