Re: your post #4086 on TM thread 17:

You are exactly right; I had forgotten that he was getting his Master's in Textile and Fabrics. Which makes it highly likely that he knew the usage and toxicity of the cyanuric chloride before he ingested it. It was noted earlier that it is also used as an ingredient in fabric softeners. I also noticed the name sounded Hindu, but was unaware of the Hindu convert to AQ's brand of Islam that you mentioned.

Do drop in to the TM more often. We appreciate your contributions. Any insight you can offer as to the pulse of the university would be greatly appreciated. I know that several, if not many, of the larger universities could be labeled hotbeds for radical recruitment.

Nothing really new in the report of the incident in the K-State Collegian. No mention of the bribe attempt. The only thing the report out of Omaha didn't have are denials from various lab directors and department heads (interestingly not including anyone in Apparel and Textiles) that any chemicals are missing.

I, too Googles cyanuric chloride, but added 'weapons' to the search. Two interesting results: First, according to some explosives discussion boards, it's used in a process to make an explosive clled PL-1. Second, it's a decomposition product of some cyanide-related suffocation agents which were made as potential chemical weapons by the Allies in WW II. Conceivably someone has a manufacturing process which reverses the decomposition, but there is no reference to it in a Google search.
