"What on earth is wrong with people speculating even if they do so in a declarative way?"
I just personally find it misleading and misinformative to declare that a certain explaination is the only possibility when it's such an inflammatory topic. I'm not saying that mods ought to remove the comments - just that I think it's a little irresponsible to post something like that without anything more than preliminary new reports as a base.
"After all, as noted, even Russian authorities are not ruling out terrorism as of latest reports."
Nor should they - nor should the DHS unless and until there is hard evidence that it's not terrorism. If indeed two planes went down within minutes of one another, that makes it all the more likely that it's the result of intentional actions - terrorism related or otherwise.

But this is an internet forum, not a newsroom or TV news studio. Forums such as these actually help people release tension and worry precisely because they can express their concerns -- whether it be through wild speculation or more sober discussion, the conversation is what's important. Ya gotta leave some room in your life for human nature. Besides, you should not assume that others beside yourself are incapable of separating good info from bad.
