It is creepy. And it's also about as subtle as being hit over the head with a 2x4. I have no doubt whatsoever that they were inviting the audience to compare Kerry's unattractive facial features with Lincoln's. You know the old cliche that a man who looked like Lincoln couldn't get elected in the TV age. They were trying to suggest we would be missing out on another Lincoln if we didn't elect Kerry.
Well,it didn't work. All I could think of was the old movie,THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE! And I bet that I'm not alone. :-)
