Don't get me wrong. Yes, I think Keyes would make a terrific Senator.
He'd bring back the days when the Senate was a debating society that aired the great issues of the day with honor.
He's the conscience of the country; and I have learned a lot and changed some views because I listened to his cogent arguments.
But I never voted for him for President, because Presidents in dangerous times have to be willing to sacrifice their reputations to defend the country properly. Same reason I'd never trust Colin Powell with the job. My personal opinion.
