Bob Dole doesnt let anybody tell Bob Dole what to do, the high-ranking Republican said, using the exact third-person style that Dole himself would use."
Does this mean that that was Bob Dole, himself?
Why not?
> The idea that the Swift Boat Vets ads could
> boomerang on Bush is wishful thinking.
The exact wording on the DNC talking points FAX in the last
24 hours is apparently:
"This {the SBVFT} could be dangerous for Bush"
Watch for it coming out of a talking head near you.
This is interesting. I had read that some "smart" (??) democrats had tried to talk Kerry out of using Vietnam in the campaign, but he went ahead with it, making him the architect of his own demise!
thanks for the post
its the second ad, the one running this week (??) showing his congressional testimony - that I believe has zero potential downside for Bush. What's Kerry going to say about that?
And also, what is Bush going to say when asked about ad #2 - he certainly can't chime in and support what Kerry was saying, trashing all those veterans as "genghis khan" types.
wondering how loud the cries of outrage would have been if the Bush campaign had tried to prevent Fahrenheit 9/11 from running in theaters.
And then put him on your team at the convention. Hypocracy in motion here.
Plus the media and Kerry is trying to spin this as coming from the RNC.
The more and more the Swiftboat veterans get heard and seen the more it will become obvious that this is about their hatred for Kerry and has nothing to do with President Bush.
That's what has them so scared they know if it's not about politics the media can't protect them.
Bob Dole needs a pen
Bob Dole always has a pen
I am not Bob Dole
1. He can't talk about getting out of Iraq because everybody has told him it's stupid to give the enemy a reachable goal. 2. He can't talk about relocating troops because he's already flip-flopped in one month's time about troops in Korea. 3. He can't talk about others helping us in Iraq because Germany has said that they aren't sending in troops no matter who's President. 4. He can't talk about many more giveaway programs because he's already given away more than all the tax hike he wants on the top 1% of taxpayers. Furthermore, he can't get them through because everybody knows the House will stay Republican no matter what happens in the Senate. 5. He can't talk about his anti-war activities because the vets are already pissed at him. 6. He can't talk about his Senate record because he flip-flopped and never used any political leverage to make any legislation happen which promoted anything more than his name in the "Me, Too" column.
So, what can he talk about? Himself, his character, his experience. He's an arrogant, elitest, egomanical Ivy-League blue-blood with nothing in common with the average guy. His sense of entitlement is mind-boggling. He's lived off other's money, never having been employed by anyone other than government. A trust-fund-baby living off the public dole--unless you want to include the time he lived off the monies of wives #1 and #2. (To be fair, maybe he's earned his money by having to live and sleep with Mrs. Heinz--that would be work enough!) Heck, Al Gore had more in common with the common man having planted and weeded tobacco! What can he talk about? His mother-in-law being unable to afford medicine? The cost of gas for his SUV's? Hardly.
Watched Joe Scarborough tonight, he discussed this the whole hour., He kept asking why we were so focused on Vietnam, Joe gave me the impression he felt sorry for Kerry. I could be wrong just did not sound right...Dennis Prager was there for a couple minutes, he summed it up perfect, Kerry is focused on Vietnam, Kerry said "reporting for duty" at his convention,, the whole speech was about Vietnam....
One of the democrat spokes mouth said wait until tomorrow, Kerry is going to come out with a hard hitting against Bush....
I buy this.
That's why the Kerryistas are whispering that they want to keep the Swifty issue alive--what a freakin joke. They are saying that in a vain hope to get the Swifties to stop telling the truth on him.
Bob Dole would not be out there if he thought Bush would disaprove.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent miscellaneous ping list.
