...rock band Third Day.....

If I was a swing voter, I would vote for GWB on this alone. But since I'm not, I'll still vote for him. BTW, Third Day is awesome.

I'm not surprised. He has been very outspoken about being a born again christian, so it would be natural in my thinking for him to support the President.

This is a huge mistake. So the RNC gets a bunch of 2nd rate music acts, and washed up actors. They should not even attempt to match the DNC in celebrity endorsements. It just makes us look like idiots.

I livre in Wisconsin, up here people, even republicans, actively make fun of country music and christian rock. This is not the way to bring people into the republican party.

What CD would you recommend a newcomer to their music listen to?

What? Thats a rather annoying position to take.

Brooks and Dunn are not second rate, and neither are the Christian music acts. Just because you dont like a particular brand of music does not mean the vast majority of republicans agree with you.

Third Day is a big coup, imo. I liked some of the chosen performers already selected but was thinking just the other day how cool it would be if they got Third Day.

The other addition I really love in this addition is Darryl Worley. If the Republicans let him sing our new "anthem" Dems will quake. LOL

Oh, and Stephen in attendance? LOL!!! I adore that bit of news!

Well geeze..thanks alot!!! I'm a country music LOVER and Christian music!! We might not have some rapper or heavy metal (unless Ted sings) lover, in fact that would turn me off pretty darn fast!

And I make fun of Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, and Janet Jackson. What of it?

People may make "fun" but the truth is these groups have a large popularity. Well, maybe not Janet. LOL

I'm not really sure if any of the Hollywood set should be included, but I agree that it seems limited to Country and Christian rock (I guess Alice Cooper is busy...wouldn't that be an interesting line up).

Fox did a great little segment in the middle of the night on Friday on Pro-Bush/GOP Hollywood types. It included current "it" couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachay (sp?) and (IMO) hottie Freddie Prinze Jr., as well as well known GOPer's Shannon Doherty and Ted Nugent. Basically, the FOX report was that the GOP should focus on these guys, instead of Wayne Newton...I think I agree.

These are the people we always get. The one obvious omission is Lee Greenwood. I am more of a rock guy, but I would rather see us exhibit some class instead of a bunch of dirtbags.
