Bush Denounces Ads by Outside Groups
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - President Bush denounced TV ads by outside groups attacking both John Kerry and himself on Monday and called for a halt to all such political efforts. "I think they're bad for the system," he said.
Bush made his comments in response to a question about an ad sponsored by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that said Democrat Kerry didn't deserve his Purple Hearts, lied to get his Bronze Star and Silver Star and unfairly branded all veterans with his 1971 congressional testimony about atrocities in Vietnam.
Everyone CALM DOWN......wait to hear the words from Bush's mouth.....before we all jump off a cliff!!!!
But like you said, President Bush is not singling out SWVT.
Haven't read all posts, so if I'm repeating, sorry. But ...
What strikes me about this article, and tends to support the theory of a liberal bias - Bush calls for end to all 527s, but the entire article focuses on Swift Vets. Where's the MoveOn ads in this article?
