Yummm. Fruitcake. I like it dry, so it absorbs my special basting sauce. Powdered sugar and whiskey. I supposed most people would prefer rum, but I love whiskey. I baste it every day for a week or two before eating it.

Have you ever had the DeLuxe from Corsicana, TX.? It's about the most perfect fruitcake in the world, IMO. I order a big one every fall & often another one before Christmas, sprinkle it several times w/Irish Whiskey (too moist to douse but the flavor does penetrate in a few days). Eat it/them all by myself.
