I get irritated hearing "the so-called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" all the time.

I have never heard the NAACP referred to as "the so-called National Association for the Advancement of Colored People"

jimbo, And...according to at least one of the Swifties, it was physically impossible to go into Cambodia from where they were. Barriers of some sort across the river. Secondly, if it were a possibility, they would have used a quieter and faster boat than the swifts used.

Bottom line to me here is; This opens Pandora's box for the truly uninformed dims that Kerry has the propensity to lie and will help ease the way to reveal other lies(metals and awards). I'm excited about the prospect.

None of the Buddhist Vietnamese that I encountered had any inkling what Chritmas was, let alone celebrate it. Only a pathological liar like Kerry could concoct a story that could get so many holes shot in it. Guess he once again forgot about the millions of vets that would also know this. What a dumba$$.

Actually, I do. The descriptive term "anti-kerry" accurately describes the Swiftees' purpose. I have seen them termed "pro-Bush" which is totally false.

The term "so-called" is commonly used to imply that something really isn't what its name says it is. Quotation marks can be used in similar fashion.

Consider these descriptions of an 80-year-old man accompanied by a 20-something attractive lady:

The man arrived at the party with his niece.

The man arrived at the party with his so-called niece.

The man arrived at the party with his "niece".

They don't quite read the same, do they?

3 questions I'd like to ask Sen(JG) kerry.

1. Don't Skippers of Navy boats keep logs (even in clandestine situations) which state dates, locations, and purposes of operation? (Also, aren't after-action reports issued following operations?). Couldn't such documents shed some light on whether you were ever in Cambodia?
2. I was in the service during the same war as you, Mr. kerry. If nothing else, I can remember my Christmas Eve overseas quite clearly. It's the same with any vet, because that's when you think of home and family the most. (One could say that it is seared into my memory). Since, Mr. kerry, you are apparently LYING, will you take a polygraph test to clear this little Cambodia matter up?
3. Are you, Mr. kerry, familiar with the term PATHOLOGICAL LIAR? It's when, for example, people make up fantastic, dramatic stories about being brave and heroic to compensate for being hated by schoolmates as kids. Do you realize that this pathology makes you UNFIT FOR COMMAND? Did you know that most of us veterans have no respect for you, whatsoever?

(I would also want to ask how on earth do you go home to Teresa each night? But that would be snippy.)
