We already have a few people who look like they'd be interested in doing some legwork for the campaign, and another who's already contributed in an equally important, crucial way.
I'll check back on this thread throughout the week and give you any updates.
-good times, Gerard.
Can it possibly be true?(!)

Oi.
Buoy.
I know, I know. It's a fool's errand to take on entrenched Democratic incumbents in a place like New York City.
Putting that aside for a moment, I just want to state for the record, that Paul really is an extraordinarily charismatic individual, who would be a vast improvement upon the ineffective representation that NYC that is currently traipsing through the halls of congress.
However herculean this project may appear at first glance, it's still a good way of broadening the grassroots of an enfeebled New York City Republican machine, especially in Kings County, which is basically an appendage-and a very weak one at that-of the Staten Island GOP.
Don't feel compelled to donate any significant portion of your wealth or contribute a major block of your free time to Paul's candidacy. Though we would appreciate whatever contributions any of you NY freepers could make, we would also be pleased if you would do something as simple as alerting interested parties to the existence of this thread.
If you do want to help out, you can send a private message on FreeRepublic-or send me an e-mail directly-to either me, "Cacique" or "Parodrig."
I think that Paul is handling the fundraising aspect of this race, so if you're interested in chucking in a few dollars, you should probably contact him.
Thanks for your time, folks.

Hello everyone! First of all, thank you for your support. Yes, this is Paul A. Rodriguez. No...not the comedian, and it's not joke that I'm running for Congress. ;-) And no...it's not Paul Rodriguez from Insight Magazine. Yes...we've been getting a great reception and things are really heating up, so much so that we're going to need thousands more brochures and posters to give to the groundswell of supporters we're beginning to see coming out now. (Hint, hint) So any financial support you could provide would be greatly appreciated. You can make a check out to Paul Rodriguez for Congress and send it to:
Paul Rodriguez for Congress
753 39th Street
Brooklyn, NY 11232
However, if you don't have the financial means to support, then I would treasure any time you could spare us to volunteer in the streets. We need troops! And what better troops than Freepers, the true believers!! Plus we have the only CD in three boroughs so there is a lot of flexibility in terms of where you can volunteer. And we have a very diverse district so you can be in a Hispanic, Asian, African American, Polish, or Orthodox Jewish area, as well as gentrified neighborhoods such as the Lower East Side, Brooklyn Heights, Long Island City, Williamsburg. Just take your pick. Please contact me (PARodrig) or Cacique.
Just a bit about myself for those who asked. I was born in Elmhurst, NY (Queens) to Puerto Rican parents. I'm 35 years old. A banker by profession for the last 12 years. I am the father of a nine year old daughter. I currently live in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
Thanks to everyone again, and especially to Scourge for his dedicated service to the campaign.

Please forward to other Tri-State Freepers. Thanks!
If you've already received a ping to this thread and have decided not to respond, feel free to also disregard this message. However, it would help us out a great deal if you could just alert other NY/NJ freepers to this thread, where they'll find all the necessary information to help contribute to Paul's underfunded campaign.
Thank you.

I'm glad someone noticed this thing.
There's still to time to help out the indefatigable campaign of fellow NY freeper, Paul Rodriguez.
I'll reiterate, simply contact him, "Cacique", a.k.a. Frank, or me through a private message on FR or via e-mail.
We'll handle the rest.
bttt
Was he at CPAC? That name souns real familiar.
However, Paul is a pretty outstanding representative of conservative values in his own right.
Believe me, if this race were taking place in Macomb or Oakland County, he would win in a walk.
I'll send a check.
Dan, I actually was at CPAC, was interviewed by RighTalk, but many of the people I met kept asking me if I was the Paul Rodriguez from Insight Magazine.
Okay, so I ain't the most handsome stand-up comedian in the world. But c'mon, man! I mean, look at me. I AIN'T BLUE, CHICO!
